Contract / Commercial Sales Representatives / Area Managers typically call upon Flooring Contractors, Architects and Designers and End Users to sell the latest Ranges of Carpets and Flooring Products on behalf of Carpet and Flooring Product distribution Specialists.
These roles are generally more involved than a Retail Sales role and involve building great and close relationships with clients over a period of time. Consultative and often Design orientated the role involves bringing many elements together to deliver a great result for the Project be it in a Hotel, Residential Project or Office Block, therefore a broad knowledge of Flooring and great interpersonal skills and Sales ability and Professionalism are key requirements for this type of role along with excellent presentation and interpersonal / communication skills. Typically a Distribution route to market will involve a wider range of products, be less Specification driven and more commodity based sells as the likelihood will be that the product will already have been specified.
